Contract hire

What does 3.5 tonne or 7.5 tonne mean on a tipper?
It is the gross vehicle weight: the maximum weight of the vehicle and its load together. It is not the weight you can carry. Payload is lower and varies by vehicle, so ask the hire desk about the vehicle you would receive.
Do you supply a driver?
No. Tipper hire is self-drive, which means you supply the driver. Self-drive does not mean insurance is included: you must arrange suitable cover for the hired vehicle under your own business or fleet policy.
Can I hire a tipper for a day or a weekend?
